About
1964
The Jewelry of Ireland story has roots stemming back all the way to 1964 when a young Des Byrne set up his first brick-and-mortar jewelry store on Dublin’s Bachelors Walk, overlooking the famous River Liffey. Des Byrne Jewellers Ltd became famous amongst Dubliners and was the cities one stop shop for quality Irish jewelry at very affordable prices.
2002
In 2002 Ken reinvented desbyrne-jewels.com and AllCladdagh.com was born. A fresh, aesthetic and modern outtake on desbyrne-jewels, AllCladdagh expanded the product line and introduced the famous online webcam which streamed live images of Dublin’s Fair City to thousands of people around the world every year. AllCladdagh was known for its speedy delivery, exceptional customer service and its quality Irish, Claddagh and Celtic Jewelry. From this, AllCladdagh received over 1500 AUDIO testimonials from customers expressing their sincere gratitude at the service that Ken and the AllCladdagh team provided.
2015
Having been in business for over 50 years, Des Byrne Jewellers Ltd and AllCladdagh.com closed their doors for the final time. This was met with an outcry of commiseration from both our native customers in Dublin and from our international clientele around the world. However, all good things must come to an end, but Ken knew there was something on the Horizon.
